Children's Martial Arts
Martial art training is a great hobby for children to get into. With martial arts, they learn about a different culture, discipline, and provide great exercise. It is also good for self defense. Since bullies are not hard to find in a school setting it is comforting to know that your child can defend themselves if they are approached by a bully. Martial arts’ training is great for kids for many reasons.
In Baltimore, Maryland, there are many different children’s programs to get into. Firstly, one should know the differences between some of the different types of martial arts.
• Jiu-Jitsu
This type of martial art originated in Brazil and involves much grappling and ground fighting.
• Karate
This is a Japanese martial art and is widely accepted as a sport. There are several levels and has a firm belief that without good character and heart, you cannot move on to the next physical level.
• Judo
This is a practice that is also Japanese. It has two phases which are standing phase and ground phase. This one is considered an Olympic sport and uses various martial arts methods.
• Taekwondo
This martial art form originated in Korea, and is considered best for defense. It involves many powerful kicking and punching moves.
• Kung Fu
This is what westerners called all martial arts when it first came to our region. It is still practiced today and is considered a thorough workout since there are many physical and mental workouts one must go through.
There are many Baltimore martial Arts programs to choose from it is just a matter of choosing which type of martial art you want your child to participate in. Listed below are some of the top martial art programs in Baltimore.
• Baltimore Martial Arts Academy
This school provides a youth Brazilian jiu- jitsui program for young children ranging in ages. Many students have participated and have been very successful in tournaments.
• Xtreme training center
Here they break children up by age into different teams. Little dragons are age 4-6, the cadet program is for preteens, and then you have the teen program. There is also an excel program for children with Attention deficit disorder. All the programs guarantee a growth in self-esteem, independence, and increased attention.
As stated earlier, martial arts for children is a great way for them to grow mentally and physically. It teaches them important lessons as well as well teach them self-defensive moves. This is something that can be great for all children.

No site I have seen/heard of will ever give you FREE legitimate martial arts training. In fact, nothing on the internet will give you legitimate martial arts training. Go do it for real
