Points to Dwell On Before Purchasing a Treadmill
Before investing in a treadmill, it might be ideal to first determine whether it's worth the money spent or not. Here we look at some factors to help guage whether the treadmill you have your heart set on is worth the weight it would have on your pocket.
Pricing
Budget should always be a primary consideration when purchasing a treadmill. If it is's a simple treadmill you want, look for machines which come for $500-$1500. These treadmills are the best suited for people who simply need to run or walk on the machine. The more expensive treadmills, however, can cost $3000 or above.
Stability
Before you purchase the treadmill, ensure that you have a fast trial on the machine. If you feel that the treadmill is not smooth or is a lot jerky, then you might as well skip that treadmill. Also, attempt and ensure if the treadmill provides enough support.
Features
Treadmills today, come with a selection of features to suit individual needs. Ideally you should first decide on the features you personally require before buying the machine. Some treadmills make allowance for adjustment of the incline speed. Some may have extra features such as pulse monitor or a bottle rack. If you require music for your workout sessions, look for one which allows you plug in an additional music device.
Noise
In case you would like to keep your treadmill in your bedroom, you should make sure that it doesn't make a lot of noise. Treadmills that are very noisy are acceptable only in case you have separate gym.
Space
If you're buying the treadmill for your house, you need to consider the space implications. Check if the treadmill of your choosing fits in the given space. If there's a space crunch at your house, opt for treadmills which can be folded.
Manual or motorized
In case you would like to do intense workouts on the treadmill, motorized versions offer the most optimal option. But , in case you want one only for your routine walk, you can opt for a manual machine. Manual treadmills cost much lesser than their motorized counterparts.
Folding or non folding
Folding treadmills offer you the best possible option in case you've got a small storage space space to keep a treadmill. Such treadmills can be folded into a miniature size without any difficulty and do not have any storage issues. By contrast, non folding treadmills can be problematic to store though they're less expensive in comparison.
So, if you are ready to speculate in a treadmill, make sure that you keep the above points to consider in mind to help you get better value for money spent.
(Carnegie Mellon)
When Rob Cochran entered Carnegie Mellon University as a 17 year-old applied
math/industrial management major, he wasn't planning to one day take over the
family business.
Nine years later, he found himself CEO of #1 Cochran Automotive -- the leading
auto retailer in Western Pennsylvania. Drawing on skills he learned at CMU,
has grown the company into a $450 million enterprise employing nearly 600
people.
Now, with a generous gift to CMU's Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) chapter,
he's hoping to help put other students on the path to success.
"Entrepreneurship, leadership, social responsibility -- the goals of SIFE are
close to my heart," explained Cochran (S'87), who operates 15 new-vehicle
franchises from 13 showrooms throughout Monroeville, Robinson Township and
Pittsburgh's South Hills.
A strong believer in corporate citizenship, Cochran is deeply committed to
providing support to the communities his company serves.
"I have always felt that the strongest and most successful companies had the
greatest obligation to give back," said Cochran. "Doing the right thing is at
our core -- from supporting communities and charities to ensuring ethical
business practices in our daily operations."
Indeed, #1 Cochran holds the distinction of being the only auto dealer ever to
win ...
