2nd house: What determines whether or not you respect a person?
When you meet a person, or are getting to know them, what determines whether you respect them or not? How they look? (good looking, thin versus fat) What they are wearing? (ie. a suit, uniform, etc) What they know? (teachers, professors, experts in something you like to do) Whether they are famous. (people often say they respect Michael Jackson or Britney Spears) Their age? What is in your 2nd house of values? Thank you. Thank you for such good answers. I'm sending this to a vote. I respect a person based on their outlook on life and by their personality. I go deep within to find my answers, I let them speak and listen to them and hear what they have to say, how they behave, the things they say and do, are all the things I pay close attention to. There is alot one can find out about others just by close observation. And being a Pisces helps, I'll say that, cause I pick up the smallest things in just by watching intently. I do not judge someone based on their clothes, sex, looks, knowledge, age, weight, popularity or their bank account. If I judged people by these examples you have posted, I'd be of the majority of the world (shallow and selfish) and that is one thing that I strive to not be. (although some girls I have no respect for are those who have no respect for themselves, meaning letting guys take full advantage of them so easily) I strongly judge girls like that when I should be pitying them. It's very hard not to, when they have the power in themselves to change that. I see all as individuals who are varied and unique from one another and therefore not all the same.
Broadway review: ‘Nice Work If You Can Get It’ (The Philadelphia Inquirer)
Before we get too far, I need to tell you about the costumes in the new and wonderful Broadway musical comedy "Nice Work If You Can Get It," which opened Tuesday night and may be settling in for a long run. The costumes are by Martin Pakledinaz, a longtime Broadway designer who has taken just about every possible style of clothing in the Prohibition era and put it on stage. You have your shimmying dresses, your vice-squad undercover suits, your house- staff uniforms, your formal wear, your wedding dress with a train as long as, well, a train.When the second act opens and much of the large cast is dancing on a ritzy veranda to what amounts an after-intermission overture, it may take a minute to realize that Pakledinaz matches the colors for each dancer and her partner so subtly -- sometimes merely in the stripes of trousers -- the effect is like a single palate that comes together or breaks apart as the dancers switch partners and then return.
