Home-Based Beauty Business Advice
In these difficult times it is the unfortunate reality that lots of people are being made unemployed and are having to find alternative ways to pay the bills. Having a beauty therapist business based from home has always been one of the most popular home-based business options and now more than ever people are putting their beauty skills to good use at home and sometimes making a whole lot of money. Here is some advice on how to succeed if you have never run this type of business before.
Building A Client Base. Building a base of clients that you can rely on for steady work is the number one hardest thing to achieve. If you have come from working for an organization you may have the luxury of being able to take a number of your clients with you who previously came in for treatments or for spa days. If you haven’t, you will need to advertise and get your name out there so that people can discover how good you are. A great way to do this is go to a shopping centre put up some advertising and offer people a free massage or pedicure for example. Make sure you hand them some promotional material or a contact number so that they can get hold of you when need their next treatment.
Current Client Incentives. The best advertising people you have available to you are those people who you currently serve, and offering them some incentives for referring you to their network of friends is a very good way to grow your business. In return for them referring a client to you, how about giving them a free treatment of their choice or at the very least some money off their next appointment.
Sell Skin Care Products. A great way to supplement your income is to sell skin care products to your clients. The best way to do this is sell the ones you actually use in your treatments as people will see how effective they are and want to use them all the time. If you buy in bulk and put a small markup on them you can make quite a bit of extra money this way.
What would set off Christians about Chinese Therapy Balls ..?
The ones you roll around in your hands, with chimes inside. They are green and have the yin Yang symbol on em. These 2 ladies were at my home with several other Christians but terrified to touch these therapy balls.... Any ideas all? Serious answers plz. Thanks
And no they are not ben wa balls as those vibrate LOL
They are also called "Ben Wa balls" (sp?) and are inserted in the vagina to bring pleasure to the woman all day long. They're rumored to strengthen the vaginal walls if you do Kegels while they are inserted.
I suspect that's why they wouldn't touch them.
